The term refers to Romans 1:24, “Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.” Think about it, God will give you over to your lusts…kids, your spouse, speed boats, jobs, women, men, sports, health foods, environmental issues, dogs, cats, food, books, sexual immorality, homosexuality, an unrepentant heart, unbelief, your own righteousness, anything that could take the place of the one true Creator God, Jesus Christ. Not one molecule moves without His permission. Oceans obey Him by remaining within their boundries.
